Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Coming Soon

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play aka the Playstation phone is coming! This could very well be a big deal in the smartphone world. The Xperia Play is a true gaming phone and the specs on this phone are pretty impressive. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has the following specs:


- 1ghz Snapdragon Processor w/ Qualcomm Adreno 205 graphics
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 4 inch, 854x480 multi-touch LCD screen
- 5 1/2 hrs of battery life
- 5 mega pixel camera
- LED flash
- Stereo Speakers
- Bluetooth and Wifi enabled

- Sony Ericsson Timescape UI

Today, the announcement for the phone was made official at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that the phone would be coming "early spring" and the carrier would be Verizon. Thats good news to know that a phone like this, a complete gaming phone, would be available on a good network like Verizon. Engadget also speculated that a European release will most likely happen first before it comes to the US. Its also speculated that "early spring" could mean sometime in March. I personally think thats still kind of early. The end of March or early April is more likely but I can't wait to see how this comes about.
