Should you buy the myTouch 3G Slide?

The Slide is a pretty good mid-range Android handset that beats the tar out of devices like the Motorola Devour, Cliq XT and the Motorola Backflip and it should make a lot of first-time smartphone buyers happy. The problem is that T-Mobile is positioning this as a flagship device, which puts it in direct competition with the Droid Incredible, EVO 4G and iPhone 4. It does not stack up well against those handsets.

My take on this matter is that if you are a person that wants to have a smart phone for the sake of having one because yours still take quarters to make a call. Then the slide is for you. I don't see it making those who already have a smart phone leave theirs to get this one. But it has features that can make you stay with T-Mobile.

HTC Surround with Windows Phone 7

The HTC Surround is one of the three mobile phones launching on AT&T on November 8th.The Surround has the kickstand but it’s there to highlight the speakers that slide up from behind the display, just like a landscape keyboard would. The Surround has no hardware keyboard, so the rear panel doesn’t have to slide out very far.
Past the Dolby Mobile/SRS speakers this was a pretty standard Windows Phone 7 device, complete with the 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.8-inch 800×480 display, and a 5MP camera with LED flash. The display isn’t nearly as larger or as impressive as that of the HD7, but the sound is enhanced, making this a good phone for listening to music (which is what HTC was going for). It has 16GB of on-board storage.
Extra features include the HTC Hub for use of HTC’s apps (like sound enhancer and photo enhancer) and AT&T’s U-verse Mobile.
I personally think that this might be a great phone. It looks very impressive. This phone will make a lot of windows fans happy. I hope that the price is reasonable(normally around the 199 range). But for now good job HTC. Here is a quick look at the phone.
