Finally some news on the data plans! Droid-life broke this wide open with a reliable source on their end coming in with some good news on the subject. The good news is that the plan could come in at $29.99 which is great news for Verizon customers. Remember also that the current data plan for 3G is also $29.99, so there may be no real change. They also mentioned that this could change when the 4G network finally gets to be fully nationwide. Any changes could happen once everything is up and running with the new phones hitting the market and going 4G.
Another possible outcome for the data plans that was also mentioned was the fact that it could be $29.99 with a $15 add-on for 4G. Not too bad but me personally, I would like it to be easier on the pocket at $29.99. A lot of pluses are coming out of this 4G network too. Marking the firstt 4G phone will be the HTC Thunderbolt will be the first 4G phone to hit the Verizon market with a lot of speculation around the Feb. 14th date being the official release for the phone. The 24th of Feb. was mentioned by Droid-life and other sites as well. Who knows how this could play out but we'll keep a look out on the days in question to see what Verizon will do.
